D-Day...

Daycare Day. Well, here I am enjoying my last few hours of being a stay-at-home mom. I have enjoyed the past 8 1/2 weeks off with my little man. I am glad that I took the extra time off and didn't rush back after 6 weeks. However, I feel like this is now a good time for me to go back to work and for Braxton to go to daycare. I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for the both of us!

Sounds Baseball

Earlier in the week I called GiGi and told her that we wanted to take Braxton to a Nashville Sounds baseball game. On the other end of the line I heard a big squeal. To say that she was excited would be an understatement! The Cousino Family was already planning on going to the game on Friday so we decided to tag along.

Before we went to the game The Head Family went out to eat. Jeremy said, "Let's try a new place." So the adventure started. We drove downtown and found Urban Flats. Let's just say that the adventure was a success. We LOVED the food and the atmosphere and we will visit the place again! While Jeremy was waiting for me to finish eating he and Braxton visited with with the other patrons of the restaurant.

Now onto the game...first at bat is GiGi
It was a homerun with GiGi! Okay, enough with the baseball lingo.

Well, hang on...one more thing...and waiting on deck was Pops.

Now I am done with the baseball lingo I swear!

Braxton dancing at the game.

Braxton didn't like the play.

Braxton may be wide awake, but Daddy isn't.

Two Month Check Up

After lunch with Daddy we went to the library where Baby B and I hung out until it was time for his Doctor's appointment.

Now onto Braxton's Stats...
Two Months One Day
Weight: 11 pounds and 4 ounces
Length: 22.5 inches

For those of you who want to know all about the percentiles here you go...
Height is within the 41%
Weight is within the 47%
Head Circumference is within the 44%

To see how far Braxton has come since his last check up click here.

Despite what the picture above shows, Braxton did very well with his shots. He recieved the Polio, Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis, Hepatitis B and Pneumococcal Conjugate vaccines.

On a side note: On Braxton's growth chart there was a section for Body Mass Index. I just can't believe that obesity is such an epidemic that Pediatricians now have to measure it.

Lunch With Daddy

On Thursday Braxton and I went and ate lunch with Jeremy. We dined at Unique Flavors which is located right across the street from Jeremy's work.

Here is a pic of the Unique Flavors girls checking out Braxton.

Braxton wanted to eat too!

Braxton's Two Month Photos

Sarah came over yesterday for some adult conversation and while she was here she couldn't help but take pictures of Baby B.

Photos taken by Sarah B. Gilliam Photography.
If you want/need some great photos check out Sarah's upcoming PHOTOfunDAY.
You know that I love a good deal, so become Sarah's Facebook friend and you can print out a coupon for a free photo collage when you attend a PHOTOfunDAY.

Hanging Out With Daddy

Jeremy was hanging out with Braxton when I heard him say "Lauren, get the camera." When I heard that I just knew that it was going to be a good photo opp (and it was).

Braxton's Revenge

So how did Braxton get back at Bee Bee for locking him in the car?
He pooped all over her!

I was finishing up shopping at Kohl's and my mom and Braxton were taking a little break. Braxton had been a little fussy about 30 minutes before so they decided to go sit down. When a nice couple stopped by to admire how cute Braxton was (and who can blame them) they said something to my mom about how cute his baseball outfit was and my mom lifted to show them how he had a baseball on his butt. Well, when she did that let's just say that the baseball looked like it had some "dirt" on it because it was no longer a white baseball.

We had to go into the bathroom at Kohl's and practically give Braxton a bath in the sink in order to get all of the "dirt" off of him.

I didn't have to buy my mom a new pair of jeans, but the shopping trip did end right then and there.

Pop Quiz Time

What's Wrong With This Picture?
A)Braxton is sleeping on his stomach
B)Braxton is sleeping with a stuff animal
C)Braxton is sleeping with a blanket
D)All of the above

The correct answer... is E) None of the above because all that matters is the fact that he is sleeping!

Tomato Festival and 5K

The reason why we left Murray on Thursday was because on Friday Braxton and I were scheduled to volunteer at the YMCA in East Nashville. We were volunteering there for race preparations for the Tomato Festival 5K. Then on Saturday morning Jeremy, Braxton and I all went to the Festival. I was just going to walk in the 5K race, but on Friday afternoon I was asked if I could dress up in our company's camel costume to help start the race. Camel costume?! Yes, that is what I said. cj Advertising's mascot is the camel and Camels With A Cause was the race sponsor for the 5K.

Hello, Goodbye

We took Braxton into Owensboro on Saturday to meet the Goetz side of the family. (Yes Braxton, this is the side of the family that will cause you to be in therapy later in life.) The reason for the get together was for everyone to say hello to Braxton and goodbye to all of the people going off to college; Jessica is going off to UK, Matthew is going off to UofL and Kevin is going off to Bellarmine. It was a really nice time to be with family! Thanks Aunt Beth for making it happen!

While in Owensboro we also stopped by to see Natalie and Matt. They were introduced to Braxton as well. Matt, thanks for taking a break from studying for the CPA exam to socialize with us. :)

Our Staycation

Since the pediatrician nixed the idea of flying anywhere with Baby B we decided to have a staycation. Little did we know that our staycation wouldn't consist of staying anywhere for to long.

I'm kinda glad that the doc said we shouldn't fly, because packing the car was enough of an adventure.
Here is what our Trailblazer looked like when it was just Jeremy, myself and Bruiser traveling.

And now here is what the Trailblazer looks like with Jeremy, myself, Bruiser and Baby B in tow.

After we stayed in Columbia for the weekend it was back to La Vergne for a day. Actually, I don't think that we were home for a full 24 hours before we left for Murray, Ky. We stayed there until Thursday night. While in Murray Jeremy played golf everyday and I visited with friends. On Tuesday night I even volunteered at The Angels Clinic while my mom was working there.

The BIG 8-2!

Grandma/Great Grandma celebrated her 82nd Birthday on August 3rd, but we celebrated it the day before. What did we get Braxton's Great Grandma for a gift? We got her the best gift of all...pictures of Braxton of course!
Check out the four generation picture below.
